Magnetic Floating Bed
At $1.5 million this bed really floats. Magnets built into the floor and into the bed itself repel each other, pushing the bed up into the air. Thin steel cables tether the bed in place.
The craft of papier-mâché is applied to iconic furniture forms and lighting pieces. Layers of paper and glue have been applied to honeycomb cardboard, drying into a solid composition and thus redeveloping traditional construction methods.
