Hey there, in the next paragraphs I'm going to tell you a 'bit' about myself, so you can rest assure that I'm not a bot posting things randomly here. Sadly, I'm just an average guy like every other, of flesh and bones (well, more bones than flesh actually).
Hi there, my name is Jonathan, I'm 22 years old and straight. I'm an Atheist, with a secular humanism stance. I speak both Spanish and English, but my preferred language [on the web] is English. I'm currently living in Valencia-Venezuela. I hold a degree in Systems Engineering (which I just obtained recently) and for the moment I own and run a small local company of web development and hosting along with another partner. Currently I'm also a Freelancer in Software Development, Web Design, Computer Graphics & Simulations (vector/raster, CAD and CGI), Computers/Networks/Servers Technical Service, Electronics Support, and of course, Systems Engineering. I formerly practiced skateboarding, briefly; I liked it a lot though I wasn't that good, but I still support it. I also practice amateur astronomy.
I love Science & Technology, and things like Pseudoscience, Paranormal Phenomena, Psionics, Life beyond earth and stuff alike draws my attention and curiosity. I'm also into programing, hacking, computer hardware, PC modding and anything about gadgets (I like to teardown stuff only to see inside, learn and then assemble again), Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Avionics, Complex Systems, Rocket Science, Spacecrafts, Cybernetics, Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, String Theory, Cosmology, Astrophysics... and I'm always striving to increase my knowledge and skill in all of that every single day. I'm EAGERLY looking forward to work or find a job related to anything of this (which after all is what my career is about), but so far I just haven't got the chance, and I understand that as long as I'm still stucked in this country it's unlikely (FML).
For entertainment I might play a good video game on PC, watch a movie (Sci-Fi mostly), watch my favorite TV Shows (Sci-Fi mostly), but above all I like to READ, I have to add that I really read a lot, and yes, mostly Sci-Fi novels. Personally I believe that Science Fiction is 'The Science of the Future', or at least it inspires so.
Ok Music, a very important thing about me is that I love music, and when I say 'music' I mean REAL music, you know, scores, notes, sheets, math (yes, math!), and that's what led me to study music years ago, although I eventually left it because I was focused in having a more 'serious' career. I like a lot complex sounds and melodies; I have to emphasize that I really like Progressive music, I like anything that sounds like that, I believe that Progressive music must be one of the highest rank in music genres; very few musicians dare to play progressive due to the high skills it requires, and even fewer play it right, so I admire and support any progressive band.
But despite my great preference for progressive and complex music, I admit that sometimes I also fall into listening to some lesser/average genres of music like metalcore, post-hardcore, emocore, rock, alternative or techno and trance. Anyways, somehow it's all about anything that pleases the hearing, I guess.
When there's time to spare I'm a musician too, guitarist to be precise. I play since I was about 10 years old and I like to use the Shred style for playing. I play both electric and classic guitar. I used to play in a band (called Nova Prospekt) pretty much since I finished high school until almost the 4th year of college, but it never was for serious business, just for hobby mostly (I couldn't live without making music either). As years passed I learned to play drums and piano/keyboard too.
Ok what else can I say about me...? I try to have a simple/minimalist material lifestyle. I am a very analytic, comprehensive, patient and tolerant person. I have the bad habit of psychoanalysing everyone in my way. And there's people that say that I can be very reserved, and Indeed I am, but also I don't mind to hang around with people sometimes (it's just not a priority to me). I'm not against anyone or anything, I think everyone is free to do what they want and I respect that. I strive to be the best in all what I like to do, which allows me to eventually reach my goals. I always try to help the people that needs me as long as I can. I know when and how to fight for something, but I also know when to let go.
Well, I think that's quite enough about me for know. You can drop me a line at my Formspring whenever you want, or just chat with me in here while I'm online. You are welcome to add me at any of my other accounts if you want.
This is not exactly an actual blog. This site is a tumblelog (as in "logging stuff you stumble on"), and it's owner [me] is free to publish anything with little or no commentary, reviews or opinions at all about them.
Most (not all) of the content doesn't belong to the owner of this site [me], it's found on the web, and every single published item that isn't of my original creation points to the source where it was found, or to the original author if it's artwork.
This site is [mostly] a compilation of exceptional and curious things that I find in other sites on the web according with my preferences and interests.
If you happen to be the original author of anything published here and disagree with it, let me know through any means in the Contact menu and I'll be happy to remove it. This is about "Hey! Look what I found!", NOT about "Look what I've stolen".
Mind you, the Creative Commons Licence ONLY applies to the site itself (design, structure, source etc.) and content of my original creation.
Also: Medical school classes. And hair cutting classes.
